A tube-based kitchen hood fire suppression system is an automatic, mechanical fire protection solution designed specifically for commercial kitchen hoods, ducts, and cooking appliances (like fryers, griddles, and ranges). It uses a pressurized detection tube to sense heat and automatically trigger a wet chemical suppressant — without requiring electricity or complex electronics.

• A polymer detection tube is routed through the hood, above the cooking surfaces, and inside the duct.

• The tube is pressurized and acts as a continuous heat sensor.

• When the temperature reaches a critical threshold (usually 170–180°C), the tube bursts at the hottest point.
