Fire Suppression System Punjab
Fire suppression systems are used to extinguish, control, or in some cases, entirely prevent fires from spreading or occurring. Fire suppression systems have an incredibly large variety of applications, and as such, there are many different types of suppression systems for different applications being used today. Of these, there are some that are still in use but are no longer legal to manufacture and produce.[1]
Suppression systems[edit]Fire suppression systems are governed by the codes under the National Fire Protection Association, also known as the NFPA. This organization writes codes, regulations, and recommendations on the proper installation and maintenance of these fire suppression systems. Likewise, the NFPA also lists criteria that must be met for the requirements of certain types of fire suppression systems.[2]

A gas extinguishing system is a fire extinguishing system that extinguishes fire with the help of a gaseous extinguishing agent either through oxygen displacement (reduction of oxygen content) or physical effects (heat extraction). In contrast to a sprinkler system, a gas extinguishing system is designed to extinguish and not only suppress fire.
Gas extinguishing systems are used when water, foam or powder extinguishing systems are not effective or if extinguishing with the above-mentioned extinguishing agents could cause significant damage. Typical areas of use include all types of electrical switch rooms, IT and server rooms.
Gas extinguishing systems are the "cleanest" extinguishing systems. Extinguishing gases have no influence on conventional electrical systems such as servers, etc. A range of different extinguishing gases can be used for the extinguishing system. The specific properties of the different extinguishing gases also define their area of use. FET has already designed, hydraulically calculated and constructed a large number of gas extinguishing systems. FET has developed in-depth expertise through continuous employee training.

FM-200™ suppresses fire by disrupting the fire triangle. The fire triangle is made up of heat, oxygen, and a fuel source, and by removing one of these elements, the fire is extinguished. FM-200™ removes the heat or free radicals, which interferes with the fire triangle's chemical reaction to extinguish the fire. Clean agent fire suppression systems, like ones using FM-200™, can achieve fire extinguishing concentrations in 10 seconds or less.
Advantages:- FM-200™ is a clean agent that is safe around people; therefore, FM-200™ fire suppression systems are safe to install in occupied spaces.
- When an FM-200™ fire suppression system activates to put out a fire, no residue is left behind, and it is safe for equipment, electronics, and machinery.
- Compared to other clean agents like 3M™ Novec™ 1230 Fire Protection Fluid, FM-200™ is a slightly more cost-effective option.
- Because of the small amount of FM-200™ required to suppress a fire, smaller or fewer cylinders are needed when compared to other agents like 3M Novec 1230 fluid.
